"INVITATION" in In Girum... #5

Invitation is an interactive dance installation that breaks the boundaries between performer and audience. Dancers invite audience members to touch them anywhere on exposed skin. Audience members are free to touch or not to touch, to enter and leave the space, and to move through the installation at will.

Ines Birkhan and Bertram Dhellemmes, curators of the In Girum... instant composition performance series hosted by Dock 11, have invited choreographer Rachel Brooker to present Invitation at Dock 11 in May.
